Building Hope for Horley
Horley Baptist Church has always been about people — creating a community where everyone’s welcome, lives are changing, and Jesus is King. As our ministries have grown, so too has our need for space that reflects our vision.
The Beacon Project is about making room for that vision to flourish. It’s about building a place of hope and help for our town — where faith, friendship, and practical support come together.
This isn’t the finish line; it’s a stepping stone towards a bigger dream: to be a beacon of light and life in Horley.
We believe God will do amazing things in our midst — more people welcomed, more lives transformed, more hope shared.
This is about far more than bricks and mortar — it’s a step of faith toward a bigger vision.
Working with our architect, Chris, and a brilliant team from the church led by Marc Chapman and Chris Robertson-Jones, we’ve developed an inspiring design that combines beauty, functionality, and flexibility.
The new auditorium will seat over 300 people and include improved accessibility, better acoustics, and a warm, welcoming foyer designed for connection and hospitality.
Every aspect of the design has been shaped by our mission — to provide a home for worship and community, and a resource for others making Jesus known in different places and ways.

Together we’re building not just a building, but a legacy of hope for our town and beyond.
