Join in with a service in a way that suits you

  • We have a lively service which kicks off at 10.30am every Sunday with music, a spoken message relevant for life today, short prayers, learning from the Bible and laughter. It’s a celebration, you don’t have to worry about being quiet, being formal, or knowing what to do. We’ll help you get comfortable, find a seat and meet a friendly face! Free refreshments are served before and after the service. You would be so very welcome.

  • Thinking you’d like to try church with others but aren’t too sure about going into a room full of people? Try Screen 2 to watch the service on a screen in a smaller room with light refreshments. This happens at 10.30am, the same time as our main service. Follow the signs from reception to the screening room!

  • Join our online hosts for an interactive, live online service at 10.45am on Sundays, or catch up later with a shortened, on-demand version. Find it on our YouTube Channel

There’s no right or wrong choice, give a few things a try and see how you get on! (Watching the livestream is a great way to get a hint of what to expect).

“What about my children?”

Horley Baptist - Kids (or HB-K) happens elsewhere in the building whilst the Sunday service takes place in our Main Hall.

Look out for our team of trained volunteers with Team T-Shirts who will show you where to go and can help answer any of your questions.

We expect to meet people every week who have additional needs and we work hard at making it easy for everybody to engage!

Additional Needs

Praise Club

Praise Club is a fun, friendly and engaging event for people with learning difficulties and their friends and carers.

4th Sunday every month | 4.30pm at Horley Baptist Church

British Sign Language Interpretation

The 1st Sunday of the month is fully interpreted by our resident BSL interpreter! If you come on another Sunday, just ask a steward and BSL interpretation may be possible (or let us know in advance that you’re coming).

There is a hearing loop in the main hall and also in Screen 2.

Sight Loss Friendly Church

Words are displayed clearly on the screen and large print song words are available from the stewards. If it would help to have the order of service and/or song words in advance, or if there is anything else we can do to make church more accessible, just contact us and we can make that happen.

Farsi Interpretation

We have several Farsi speakers in the room on Sundays and interpretation happens together at the back of the room

تفسیر فارسی

ما یکشنبه‌ها چندین فارسی‌گو در اتاق داریم و تفسیر با هم در پشت اتاق اتفاق می‌افتد

PLANNING A VIST

  • We have a carpark onsite. Arrive at 10.15 to secure a spot! We also have permission to use Manorfield Primary School’s car park, which is only a short walk away.

  • There is a bus stop on Court Lodge Road directly outside the church building on the number 100 bus route

  • Definitely not. We think the point of church is that people can explore it no matter where they’re starting from and we don’t assume prior experience or belief

  • No! Expect to be challenged & encouraged, and expect some group singing (you don’t have to join in), but you will never be singled out.

  • Anywhere, nobody has saved seats. You’ll be welcomed at the door and pointed in the right direction.
