Lettings
Hospitality is a central part of our church's mission within the community. If you book our rooms you and your guests will receive a warm welcome from all of our staff and volunteers.
Facilities on Site
With a range of rooms available, all equipped with audiovisual equipment and large screens available, the range of facilities is comprehensive.
Guest WiFi, tea/coffee making points and cloakroom facilities are available throughout the building.
Several of our rooms are partitioned with "Moving Walls", so that they can be divided or opened out to suit the needs of the user. The Church also has dedicated children’s room with protected access and children’s toilets.
The building has been designed to provide level access for those with limited mobility. Facilities include a lift to the first floor rooms, disabled toilets and designated parking bays. An induction loop system is installed in the Main Hall and Kelsey 1 and 2.
Our Approach to Lettings
We want to see our premises well used for the benefit of the community in Horley. We envisage that this will be through our usual busy Church programme, church sponsored events and a wide range of suitable community activities. We believe the Church should be at the centre of our local community.
Our approach to any application for the use of our premises will be a positive one. We want to encourage appropriate organisations to use the premises for their meetings and activities - wherever these are complementary to the Church’s regular activities. As you would expect, we will not be able to accept bookings for activities which are in conflict with the Christian message, our vision statement and values, or such as might prevent our regular activities from functioning to the full.
We will not normally be able to accommodate bookings for a Sunday event, or on major Christian Festivals such as Easter and Christmas.
We are ever mindful of our neighbours' well being and therefore, out of consideration for those who live around our building, we ask that all bookings fully vacate the premises by 22.30.
Horley Baptist Church is an independent organisation that relies on member donations to function as a Christian Church. The income it receives from lettings are used to meet the cost of and enhance the community facilities. It does not seek to make a surplus from this income.
Room Hire Rates
The STANDARD RATE has been set at a competitive level and is expected to be applicable to most lettings. In addition, discounts are offered for multiple bookings.
The COMMUNITY RATE is designed for those local organisations that are focused on the needs of the immediate area and rely on fundraising and donations as their income source. If you wish to pay this rate, you may be asked to supply information to support why this rate is applicable.

Rooms Available for Hire
THE HALL
A great venue for concerts, conferences, quiz nights, banquet type receptions, soft ball games and fitness groups with a serving hatch to the adjacent kitchen.
Capacity:
140 in theatre style
100 in banquet style
80 in cabaret style
NB:This hall does not have a stage
The adjoining Concourse is available for separate hire
